INTRODUCTION TO LOEDIGE PROCESS TECHNOLOGY |
|
With the invention of
the Ploughshare® Mixer and introduction of the hurling and whirling
principle, Loedige has set a high standard for mixing and processing
technology. Patented innovations have ultimately had an enduring
influence in this field. Technologies for mechanical processing,
developed over decades of close cooperation with our customers, now
make it possible for Loedige to provide optimal, customized solutions
for every kind of application in the fields of mixing, granulating,
coating, drying and reacting.
Loedige's range of products also
includes the following divisions:
 |
 |
A range of polymer mixers, which is
a house hold name in all sectors of the polymer industry. |
|
|
|
|
 |
 |
In May 2003 Loedige took over the
DRAIS Mixing and Reacting division. |
Loedige combines the complex
correlations between product properties and specific industrial and
production requirements in a user-friendly system design. Experience
gained in the realization of more than 20000 machines and systems give
a sound basis for providing the right solution for each new
application. |
|
Loedige provides process
solutions for mixing, drying, reacting and granulating application in
the following industries: |
| |
 |
Plastics |
 |
Animal Feeds |
|
 |
Food |
 |
Minerals and Basic Materials |
|
 |
Pharmaceuticals |
 |
Chemicals |
|
 |
Environmental Technology |

Cosmetics |
|
Here are some examples of tailormade system solutions in a variety of
areas of application |
| |
 |
Pharmaceuticals -
Granulating |
| |
System solution for
mixing and moist granulation of tablet materials. The Mixing
Granulator is fed dust-free from drums using a lifting column. A rasp
can be connected downstream if this is required by the recipe. PLC and
PC supported unit controls are provided for semi-automatic processing,
recipe administration and documentation. In addition to installation
and commissioning, qualification and validation are also included in
the scope of supply. |

Chemical Products -
Reacting |
| |
 |
Druvatherm® Chemical Reactor DVT 30000 installed in a unit for the production of methylcellulose
(MC) with a production capacity of 5000 MT per annum. Similar reactors
have been supplied for the production of a wide range of cellulose
ethers, e.g. HEMC / HPMC / HEC / EHEC and CMC. Starting with wood pulp
or linters, cellulose is converted to cellulose ether in the following
process sequences: alkalization, etherification, viscosity adjustment
and solvent recuperation, all in a single batch. The cellulose
derivatives are used in the following industries: foodstuffs,
pharmaceuticals, chemicals, building materials, detergents, crude oil
drilling, textile and paper. |

Moulding Compounds and
Fibre Materials - Mixing and Drying |
| |
 |
Batch Ploughshare®
Mixer for mixing and aeration drying of friction lining materials. Due
to their poor flow properties, fibres are added by a manually filled,
container tilting system. The mixer is equipped with a heating/cooling
jacket, appropriately designed filter unit directly installed on the mixing drum and choppers to disperse the fibres. The treated
product is then emptied into mobile containers for transport to
downstream processing machinery. |
| |
|
Environment - Mixing and
Granulating |
| |
 |
Mobile, universal
unit for the production of a reliably briquettable mix from different
kinds of dusts. The product of
continuous Ploughshare® Mixers has the
homogeneous moisture essential for the strength and stability of
briquettes. The mixers are fed, dust-free, from big-bags or silos.
Controlled dosing of appropriate quantities of binding agents can be
programmed as required. The semi-automatic operation of the unit also
involves self regulation of the integrated product storage container. |
